CENTRAL EUROPE. Helvetii. Late 2nd-early 1st century BC. Scyphate Stater (Electrum, 22 mm, 7.14 g, 9 h), 'Crainvilliers au croissant' type. Celticized laureate head of Apollo to right within crescent border. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to left; below, crescent ornament; all within shallow circular incuse. D. F. Struck from somewhat worn dies and with minor weakness, otherwise, about very fine.
